        For this book that I finished last year but now got the chance to write about it, we are following the story of Emily, a shy, quiet girl that even when she has something to say, she doesn't say it because she thinks it is not something clever. Until she meets Sloan. Sloan is the exact opposite of her it she makes Emily get out of her shell. But Sloan is suddenly gone, without a call or a message. The only this she Emily finds is a to-do-list from Sloan with 13 weird things that the old Emily would never do. Nothing illegal.... well exept of "steal something" . But even the new Emily is not sure she can do. But doing all of them might be a way to find where Sloan has gone.
        And as she goes further on the list she makes new friends, something that she thought she wasn't outgoing enough to do. And she never thought that she would have help with the list. Especially not from Mr Perfect Boy Handsome Clever Friends With Everyone President Of The School But With A Girlfriend - Frank Porter. A summer with a lot of firsts for shy Emily and a lot of fresh starts!!

THE MOON TRILOGY by Tim O' Rourke

      Hellooooooooo and Happy New Year!! I hope this year you all start reading something you like! And it might not help you when you are playing Trivial Persuit but you will get something out of it I promise.
      So after reading book one of this trilogy, called Moonlight, a while ago, I really wanted to read the other two books, called Moonbeam and Moonshine. It is a paranormal trilogy by non other but my favourite author Tim O' Rourke. We have Winter Mc Call, who lives in the streets of London and the only life she knows is that of begging for money and always being cold an hungry. But when a handsome stranger offers her a job at his house, she is skeptical. But she takes the job as a housekeeper, even though she knows he has some weird habits. And she soon finds out that that is an understatement! And unfortunatelly the weird part is not so bad. Thaddeus, the handsome, rich, mysterious gentleman has a lot of secrets and dangerous also.
      That is for the first book, but in order to avoid spoilers, I have to say very few things about books two and three. Winnie (Winter) finds herself changing and not in a good way. And having feeling for Thaddeus might be worse than the change and the hunger that she starts to feel.
      I loved them and Tim O' Rourke always gives you the element of surprise in th end! Something that you would never expect, no matter how big is your imagination!! Enjoy, you will!!

CRUEL BEAUTY by Rosamund Hodge

Cruel Beauty is the first book of the Cruel Beauty Universe series, but I don't know how many books there will be or what will the stories be. But on the first book you really get the feeling of Beauty and the Beast. But not the sweet story that children read. Not even a Brother Grimm vibe. In this book we meet a world where the sun doesn't shine anymore, just gives a little light to a village that is under a dome for hundreds of years. All because of the Gentle Lord. He is a demon that can make your wishes come true but not without a price. And be careful what you wish for because you never get whatyou trully want. Nyx's father made a deal with the Gentle Lord, for him and his wife to have children. And the Gentle Lord wants one of his children when they grow up. But he didn't ask for his wife to have a body that can survive the birth. And after giving birth to twins, she dies.
Now Nyx must go live with the Gentle Lord, Ignifex, as his wife. But when you know your future, you train all your life to do what you have to do to save your village. And that means killing Ignifex. But what if Ignifex is not the real monster everyone is wishing dead? What if he is just another victim in this story? You' ll see!

The KIERA HUDSON Prequels 2 by Tim O' Rourke

On the second prequel of the Keira Hudson series, Kiera and Tom are still forced to be apart by Sergeant Philips, but they keep ignoring him. After the end of the first Keira Hudson prequel, Keira and Tom are going in a small hotel to relax after everything that happened to them. But everywhere they go, something happens and new mysteries apear that need to be solved. But Kiera "sees" everything and knows the truth without difficulty. The only thing see doesn't see is Tom's feelings for her. And even though see also has feelings for him, she can't say anything. But since it is the last of the prequels, we should see a little love. But just a little, because when the boss finds out, they will have to deal with the concequences. And some of you might know about the Kiera Hurson series 1 and 2. And now 3!!!

OATH BOUND by Rachel Vincent , Unbound trilogy

So this is the last of the Unbound trilogy and in this book, it is the story about Sera. She is the daughter of the head of one of the two head crime Skilled families but she was hidden from the world by her mother. Now her family is dead and she goes to her Skilled (and new boss of her biological father's sindicate) aunt, to ask for a favour. To track and kill her family. Only favours are not that easy to ask and there are a lot of secters that she doesn't know.
On the other side, we have Christopher, Kori's and Kenley's brother, who after trying to help his sisters, one of them is getting kidnapped. And the only place that he thinks she is , is Towers sindicate, where she was bound for years. But after not finding her, he finds Sera. But the most weird thing? He knows he must take Sera with him when he leaves. Because he was told, to take the girl with the yellow scarf.
The last book brings down a lot of bad people lets just say, and a world that excisted for years is finally on its end! And so is the trilogy!

SHADOW BOUND by Rachel Vincent Unbound trilogy

In the second book of the Unbound trilogy, we see little of Olivia an Can, the characters of the first book, but we see a lot of Kori, the shadow walker. After her falure to protect her boss in the first book, Kori is sent to the basement. Tortured for weeks, her hopes of freedom and protecting her sister slip away everyday. But her boss has one last job for her. One that will determine what her future will be. Freedom or death. But death is not what she fears. Kenley, her sister, being imprisoned and tortured as she was, is. Her last task is to recruit Ian Holt, and if she can't, then kill him. But after meeting with him....well, you get the drill. But Ian is not who he says he is. He can manipulate the dark, create it whenever he wants. But he is also there to find the binder that bound his brother against his will. Now with his brother diyng for not obeying the bind, which he doesn't know what it is, he will do whatever it takes to save his brother, incruding killing the binder. But that binder is Kenley, Kori's sister, and after meeting Kori...well you get the point!!

BLOOD BOUND by Rachel Vincent Unbound trilogy

When I first found this trilogy, I was skeptical about how a trilogy is not about the same caracters in all three books. But after reading the first one, Blood Bound and reading the story about the second, I found out exactly what is happening. So in this book (in all three actually) we have to leaders, one on east side and one on the west. But those leaders have their clan bound to them, by blood an with a help of a binder.And if you try refusing what your leader tells you to do, you feel excrusiating pain, your organs start to fail and you eventually die.
Our story is about Olivia. when she was 12 she was bound by Kenley, Kori's little sister by accident. The bout was between her and her three friends to always help each other when one of them asks. So now every time one asks for help, pain and death awaits the other if she sais no. So here we are on the now. Olivia is a tracker. She can find people with their blood. And when her friend asks her to find who murdered her husband, she has to help her. But the bigger problem is that she has to work with Cam, her ex who she walked away from in the past and also a tracker, but he finds people with their names. So loosing blood and saying your whole name is a very bad thing. Especially when you don't want to be found. And especially when you have a skill like Olivia.
One last thing. They also use the help of another of her bound friends, Kori, who is a traveller, a shadowalker, a person who can step from one shadow in one place to a shadow in another. Hold her name and her little sister's, a binder named Kenley, cause you are going to need them on the next book!! But don't worry. You will not get confussed.....much!!!
