Meg Cabot first book of The Mediator series is called Shadowland and it's about Suze, who since she was 2, she found out that she can see ghosts. Noone knows about her "gift", not even her mother, who thinks that she is reacting, due to her age, now being sixteen. Her mother's second marriege forces her to move away from home and her only friend,to live in a new place with her new dad and her three step-brothers. But even changing country doesn't help her escape from ghosts,not even at her new house and her new room specifically. But in her new school she finds more than friendship.She finds another like her, a mediator, that will help her understand more. Even though she has a lot of knowledge by her self. Knowledge that comes in hand with the school ghost, a young girl that killed herself. A seemingly innocent young girl....not!!!
